Klik her for aSuggestions  on exploring Provence:

Provence itself, even without Cote d’Azur, is a region with such a wealth to see and do.
You will find at least one guide book in the  house, in addition to any you may bring with you, and these notes, based on our own experience, are meant as suggestions to make it a little easier to organise your explorations.

In additions to the guidebook, you will find a selection of leaflets, which will vary according to the resources of the local tourist office of your area. Many of the tourist office are very well organised, and it is always worth going to see them for the latest and most local information, and for signing on for any guided walks or tours, or buying tickets, if needed for local festivities.

We can recommend:

A tour round the Dentelles de Montmirail area, visiting most of the local villages on the way. Vacqueras, Gigondas etc.

A tour to the top Mont Ventoux.

Visits to Carpentras and to Vaison-la-Romaine (ex. markets) The 2 middle sized local towns.

Visits to the historic towns of Provence: Avignon, Aix en Provence, Arles and Nimes.

A kayak tour in the river Sorgue from Fontaine de Vaucluses : http://www.canoevaucluse.com/practical-information/?lang=en
